The Great Incubator in cute puppet form. I will troll many a con with this.

He's a very simple puppet, I just wanted to have a Kyubey to carry around. I'm also considering a Mami cosplay at some point so he might prove useful there too.

I think Nikki had him more than me that weekend! Makes sense since she was Madoka of course.

I hope you enjoy the anime, I thought it was a good one, but then again I like vaguely depressing artsy stuff...

It does sound interesting (trying to avoid spoilers though ^_^; ). It'll be interesting to see a different take on that genre so.

Avoiding spoilers is a good idea. I had a few major spoilers and I still liked it though, so I think it holds up even then.

Yeah, this isn't exactly Sailor Moon...

I don't think I've heard any really big spoilers so far so that's good.

I was amused by the little description of it in the Minami conbook, something along the lines of 'does to magical girl shows what Evangelion did to shows about big robots'.

How's it work? I'm not used to seeing a rod going to the mouth like that :?

The rod just goes into his head so I can move his head and make him look at things. The mouth doesn't move at all, it's just painted on. In the anime Kyubey doesn't open his mouth to talk so I used it as an excuse to be a bit lazy. He's a very limited puppet in terms of movement.
